Two men have been arrested following a report of a burglary on the Field Lane Estate in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 28 March.
At around 2.05am it was reported that two men broke into the Co-Op store on Alscot Avenue on the Field Lane Estate in Knowsley and stole a number of items and made off.
Officers searched the area and arrested two men aged 55 and 46 years on suspicion of burglary.
Both suspects are in custody to be questioned by police.
The 46 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of a previous attempted burglary at the same location which took place on the 21st March.
