We have charged two men with vehicle crime offences following an incident in Waterloo in the early hours of yesterday, Wednesday 15 March.
At around 3.30am, officers were called to Coronation Road to reports of males allegedly trying car door handles. Two men were stopped on St John's Road, Crosby and swiftly detained.
Alan Whelan, 40, of Sharples Crescent, Crosby was charged with Theft from a motor vehicle
Craig Riley, 36, of Park Street, Bootle was charged with Theft from a motor vehicle; and Breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order
Both men will appear this morning (Thursday, 16 March) at Wirral Adult Remand Court.
