We are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a house in Whiston on Monday 10 April.
At around 11.30pm it was reported that four males broke into a flat on Dragon Drive and threatened a man in his 50s with a knife.
They took a watch and cash before fleeing the scene.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house, CCTV and forensic enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
Detective Constable Andrew Harrison said: “This was a shocking incident in which a man was threatened with a knife in his own home.
“Thankfully incidents such as this are very rare but we are committed to finding the people responsible and bringing them to justice.
“I would ask anyone who lives in the area to check their CCTV or smart doorbell footage to see if you captured anything suspicious at around this time on 10th April.”
Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 23000305117.
