We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Woolton on Wednesday 19th April that has left a man in a critical condition.
Just before 1.30pm, we received a report that a black Audi Quatro collided with a tree at the junction of Menlove Avenue and Woolton Road.
Emergency services attended and the driver was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation.
Constable Chris Lightfoot from the Roads Policing Unit said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision on Wednesday afternoon 19th April and we would urge any motorists in the area with CCTV or a dash camera fitted to their vehicle to get in touch.
“Our officers are also keen to speak with a jogger who may have witnessed the incident.
“If you saw, or have footage of the vehicle involved in this collision in the area prior to the collision we need to hear from you.
“Every piece of information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened.”
