We are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in St Helens today, Thursday 2 November.
At around 9.30am, emergency services were called to Dentons Green Lane to reports of a collision involving a blue Nissan Micra and a wheelchair.
Air ambulance have taken the woman in the wheelchair, who is in her 30s, to hospital with serious injuries which are not life threatening. A four-year-old child also sustained cuts and grazes in the collision.
The driver of the Nissan car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
A road closure is currently in place. Please avoid the area where possible.
We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
