Detectives are appealing for a woman who witnessed an assault at a convenience store in Toxteth on Saturday 4th November to come forward.
At around noon it was reported that an altercation broke out between two men at North Hill Food & Wine on North Hill Street, which was witnessed by a woman in the shop.
One man received injuries to his head which required hospital treatment.
Police attended and are carrying out enquires.
Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said: “We are appealing for the woman who was in the shop at the time of the assault on Saturday to please get in touch so we can establish what took place.
“I would also urge anyone else who information on the assault to please come forward and help with our enquiries.”
