Four males charged following robbery in Kirkby

We have charged four males with robbery following an incident in Kirkby on Wednesday 22 November.

It was reported at around 3.20pm that a delivery driver was the victim of a robbery on Pinewood Gardens when a group of males threatened him and took his car.

Following enquiries, four males were arrested and have now been charged as follows:

• Nathan Higham, 21, of Ashfield Crescent, Kirkby, has been charged with robbery and possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis). He is due to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today (Friday 24 November).
• John Moorcroft, 20, of Ivory Drive, Kirkby, has been charged with robbery and possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis). He is due to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today (Friday 24 November).
• Steven Moorcroft, of Parker Close, Netherton, has been charged with robbery. He is due to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today (Friday 24 November).
• A 17-year-old from Liverpool has been charged with robbery. He is due to appear at Merseyside Youth Remand Court today (Friday 24 November).

Detective Inspector Jimmy Rotheram said: “Robberies can have a lasting impact on victims. No one should be targeted in such a violent and threatening manner and we take all reports of robberies extremely seriously.
