We are continuing to appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Wavertree on Friday 3 November that has left a man in a critical condition.
At around 8.20pm, we received a report that a blue Polestar was involved in a collision with a cyclist at the junction of Tunnel Road and Wavertree Road.
Emergency services attended and the cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver stopped at the scene and is continuing to help police with their enquires.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Serious Collision Unit said: “Our investigations continue into this serious collision that has sadly left a man in a critical condition with a serious head injury.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision on Friday night and we would urge any motorists with a dash camera fitted to their vehicle who were in the area at this time to get in touch.
“If you saw, or have footage of the vehicle involved in this collision in the area we need to hear from you.
“Every piece of information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened.”
