Two men have been charged with drugs offences as part of Operation Venetic.
Darren Spencer, 48, of Regent Road, Vauxhall, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine), and conspiracy to transfer criminal property (money laundering).
James Roberts, 41, of The Pottery, Melling, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine), class B drugs (amphetamine), and conspiracy to transfer criminal property (money laundering).
Both were remanded into custody and are due to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday 9th November).
The charge forms part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of Encrochat encrypted mobile devices.
