Seven people arrested for firearms and drugs offences following warrants executed in north Liverpool

We have arrested seven people on suspicion of firearms, drugs and money laundering offences after a number of warrants were executed in north Liverpool this morning, Thursday 16 November.

Five women, aged 45, 52, 30, 29 and 45, along with two men aged 32 and 63, were arrested and taken into custody to be questioned by detectives.

The action taken today in Walton and Kirkdale is part of an ongoing operation to disrupt serious organised crime groups and the supply of drugs and firearms.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Ball said: “I can confirm that seven more people have been arrested as part of this operation as we continue with our relentless pursuit of those suspected as being involved in serious organised crime in Merseyside.

“I hope the action taken today shows that we are determined to rid our streets of dangerous firearms and drugs that cause misery for local people in our communities.

“Enforcement operations like the warrants carried out this morning illustrates that Merseyside Police will proactively tackle issues that matter most to our residents and keep our streets safe. This supports the work we do every day of the year to tackle those involved in serious organised crime.

“Information from the public is vital if we are to breakdown the organised crime groups and I would appeal to anyone who has information to come forward.”
