We are appealing for information following a serious road collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Childwall on Thursday 26 October.
At around 6.10pm it was reported that a blue Mercedes was involved in a collision with a man aged in his 20s at a pedestrian crossing on Queens Drive, outside The Childwall Fiveways pub.
Emergency services attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital after suffering a serious leg and hip injury. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting with our ongoing investigation.
We believe the incident would have been witnessed by other people as it occurred on a busy road and there would have been plenty of motorists and pedestrians in the area at the time.
If you witnessed this incident or have any dashcam or CCTV footage, please call 101, email: [email protected], or DM us @MerPolCC on Twitter, or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, with reference 23001059004. You can also pass information via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
