CCTV Appeal following burglary at charity shop in Bromborough

Officers are issuing CCTV images of a man who may have information that may assist with police enquiries after a burglary at a charity shop in Bromborough.
 
Police received a report that between 8pm on Thursday 31 August 2023 to 1.30am on Friday 1 September an offender broke into St Johns Hospice Charity Shop on Allport Road.
 
The offender then left the shop but returned to the premises hours later. The radio was turned up inside the shop as the offender broke into a till drawer and then stole a laptop before leaving the premises.
 
The suspect left via the rear of the premises towards Greenfield Road.
 
Since the burglary officers have carried out extensive CCTV and witness enquiries to identify the suspect and have now issued two images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.
 
Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield said: “To break into a charity shop where people volunteer and raise money for their community is a despicable crime and our officers are determined to find the person responsible.
 
“Since the burglary our officers have conducted a thorough investigation in the area and are now keen to speak to the man pictured as he may have vital information to help our enquiries.  
 
"If you know him, or the images jog your memory about any suspicious behaviour you may have seen on Thursday night or the early hours of Friday morning please do let us know.
 
“Also if you own a business in the area and have any CCTV or doorbell footage from Thursday 31 August 2023 or Friday 1 September please contact us so we can continue to investigate this incident.”
