Detectives have issued CCTV images of two men who may have information that could assist enquiries following a report of a sexual assault at a hotel in Liverpool City Centre.
It was reported that on the morning of Tuesday 3 October a man was sexually assaulted by two men inside a room at the Adelphi Hotel where he was also attacked and his mobile phone and cash were stolen.
The victim suffered injuries to his face and was left very distressed after the attack.
Detectives have conducted extensive CCTV enquiries at the hotel and issued CCTV images of two men they wish to speak who could assist in their investigation.
Detective Inspector Robert Pritchard said: “This was a deplorable assault at a hotel in our city centre on a man who was left fearing for his life after the attack.
“It is completely unacceptable to target and attack anyone in this terrifying manner, and we are working to find the men responsible.
“I am appealing to the men shown in this CCTV footage, or anyone who recognises them to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“Similarly, if you were staying at the Adelphi Hotel and saw or heard anything suspicious in the early hours of Tuesday morning please contact police as soon as possible.
“Any information you hold could be crucial to our enquiries so If you recognise or saw the men pictured let us know.”
