A man from Speke has been charged with death by dangerous driving following a fatal road collision in Speke in August 2022.
At around 11.45pm on Monday 22 August 2022, emergency services were called to Hale Road at the junction with John Lennon Airport access road to reports of a collision involving a Ford Focus and a female pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Cinzia Ceravolo, 36, from South Liverpool, was taken to hospital with head injuries and died on 26 August 2022.
Kieran Cooney, 31 years, of Blackrod Avenue in Speke has been charged with death by dangerous driving.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday 18 October and the case has been referred to Liverpool Crown Court with a date due to be set.
