We are today, Monday 11th September, continuing to appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Bromborough last night, Sunday, 10th September.
At about 7.10pm it was reported that a motorbike had been in collision with a Citroen C3 Aircross car at the junction of Hesketh Way and New Chester Road.
Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service and ambulance air service helicopter attended at the scene.
The 35-year-old motorcyclist was treated by paramedics at the scene, but unfortunately died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and witness and CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who was travelling along New Chester Road, particularly between Ferry Road and Hesketh Way, at around 7.10pm last night who saw anything to contact us.
“We are particularly keen on anyone with a dashcam to come forward if they think they captured a motorbike travelling in that area. Any information could be vital to our investigation.”
