A man has been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Litherland.
At 11.35pm on Tuesday 5 September, police were called to a disturbance at a property on Sefton View during which the victim reportedly suffered stab injuries.
Patrols attended and commenced CPR but the man, Matthew Horton (pictured), was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Liam Thomas, 25 years, of Wooden Avenue, Crosby has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been remanded into custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday 8 September).
A 31-year-old woman from Litherland, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been bailed with conditions.
