Cash of approximately £10,000 and several stolen vehicles have been seized after a warrant was executed at an industrial estate in St Helens yesterday, Wednesday 27 September.
Police executed a warrant at a business premises on Station Road after a 41-year-old man from Cottenham was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of criminal property. The man was taken to a police station in Merseyside and remains in custody.
During the search approximately £10,000 was located inside a vehicle. A stolen Ford van engine and several other vehicles have been seized at the premises to be examined by our specially trained stolen vehicle squad.
Detective Inspector James Rotheram said: “This result recognises our officers hard work and determination to crackdown on vehicle crime across Merseyside and the people affected by it.
"The businesses who use and sell these parts are taking part in crimes that seriously affect legitimate companies in our community.
“Our enquiries are ongoing into the seized vehicles found on the industrial estates. If you have any information into this incident, please contact us as soon as you can.”
