Two men have been arrested today, Thursday 21 September, following warrants executed at four properties in Liverpool and Wirral.
Officers carried out the law enforcement operation at properties on Acanthus Road and Newsham Drive in Tuebrook, Wordsworth Street in Toxteth and Woodhead Road in Birkenhead.
Upon searching the property on Wordsworth Street officers discovered more than 100 cannabis plants being cultivated (see above image).
At the Woodhead Road address, a significant amount of cash, gold coins, a segway, high value handbags and clothing were found.
Two men aged 37 years from Birkenhead and Tuebrook were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to produce Class B drugs, abstracting electricity and possession of criminal property. They are still in police custody to be questioned.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Ball said: “These two arrests were part of our proactive work to ensure we take offenders supplying drugs off our streets. Drug dealing is a blight on our community, causes misery to families and often involves the exploitation of children.
“We are relentless in pursuing those involved in drug dealing and serious and organised criminality across Merseyside.
“Our work to bring these people to justice will continue on a daily basis and I would ask anyone who has information about this kind of activity to come forward so action can be taken.”
