We are urging people to be cautious after a quantity of buprenorphine (also known as Subutex) was lost in the Liverpool area today, Tuesday 16th April.
The 24mg tablets were lost between 12 noon and 1pm somewhere between Edge Lane retail park and the L8 area.
Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.
Anyone who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station or contact officers via @MerPolCC or the 101 number quoting log 518 of 16th April.
