Detectives have arrested a man following an explosion in Woodchurch, Wirral on Monday, 1 April.
Just before 4pm, we received reports of an explosion at a property on Glebe Hey Road, causing damage to the front door and windows.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service and officers were in attendance at the scene. One man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Following enquiries, a 48-year-old man from Woodchurch was arrested on suspicion of Cause an explosion likely to endanger life/injure property; and on suspicion of two counts of Cannabis production.
He was taken to a police station for questioning and remains in custody at the time of writing. Enquiries continue to establish the cause, and the property has been assessed and made safe.
