Wirral detectives have charged a man following a robbery at a Wallasey off licence on Tuesday, 9 April.
At around 3.30pm, a man reportedly walked into Bargain Booze on Brighton Street and made threats with a knife, demanding cash.
The man was restrained by a customer in the store, and detained by officers. Nobody was injured.
Thomas McNulty, 57, of Littledale Road, Egremont has now been charged with Robbery and Possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
McNulty will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Thursday 11 April.
