CCTV appeal following attempted robbery in Anfield

Detectives have issued CCTV images of two males who could have information to assist with their enquiries following an attempted robbery in Anfield on Tuesday 30 July. 

At around 8.30pm it was reported that a woman in her thirties was approached by four men on Breck Road. She was attacked by one of the men and suffered bruising and swelling to her head. The men then attempted to take her mobile phone before running away when members of the public intervened. 

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects responsible, and detectives have issued images of two men they believe could assist with their investigation. 

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a cowardly attack on a woman who has been left shaken after being attacked and threatened with a knife. 

“This incident took place at around 8.30pm on Tuesday 30 July, so I urge anyone who saw the incident or noticed something suspicious around that time, which may have been captured on CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward with anything that might help with the investigation.

“I am also appealing to the men featured in the images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
