We have charged an 18-year-old man with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
At around 2.20pm yesterday, Thursday 29 August, officers were around the Hawthorne Road/Harris Drive area of Bootle when they noticed a male who was acting suspiciously go into a nearby shop.
Officers detained the male. Following a search of the shop a lock knife was located.
Joel Lawson, 18, of Stanley Road, Bootle, has been charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Friday 30 August.
