A man has been charged and a woman arrested as part of ongoing inquiries into disorder in Merseyside.
Louis Instone, 19, of Leyland Road, in Southport, has been charged with violent disorder in relation to the incident in Southport on Tuesday 30 July. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 6 September.
A 21-year-old woman from Southport has also been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection to the incident in Southport. She is currently in police custody and will be questioned by detectives.
The total number of people arrested by Merseyside Police has now reached 96, with 60 charged and 43 sentenced.
