We can confirm that the protest outside the Abdullah Quilliam Society Mosque on West Derby Road, Kensington, this evening (Friday, 2 August) has ended without incident.
West Derby Road was closed for the duration of the protest to ensure the safety of those involved.
Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss, said: “Tonight’s protest and counter protest was attended by approximately 350 people and there were no incidents of criminality. West Derby Road was closed to allow the protest and counter-protest to go ahead and I would like to thank the local community and motorists for their patience and understanding.”
