We are appealing for information following a report of a fail to stop road traffic collision in Kirkby yesterday, Wednesday 14 August.
At around 12.15pm we received a report of a collision involving a white Iveco scaffolding truck and a cyclist in a yellow jacket, riding a dark-coloured mountain bike at the traffic lights of North Perimeter Road and Dale Lane in Simonswood.
The cyclist, a man in his 70s from Rainford, came off his bike and sustained minor injuries to his leg and arm. No medical treatment was required.
The Iveco scaffolding truck failed to stop at the scene and continued along Dale Lane in the direction of Headbolt Lane.
We would appeal to anybody who may have witnessed to the collision or has CCTV or dash camera footage which would help with the investigation to please come forward.
