Three people have been jailed for more than five years for their roles in violent disorder in Southport.
The three men appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today, Friday 30 August, after pleading guilty to violent disorder.
• Gavin Pinder, 47 years, of Lord Lane, Oldham, (pictured left) was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
• Jonathan Duerden, 31 years, of The Crescent, Colne, (middle picture) was sentenced to two years in prison.
• Joseph Buckley, 44 years, of Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, (pictured right) was sentenced to one year and four months in prison.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Roberts said: “These three men who have been jailed today played their part in the despicable scenes we all witnessed in Southport and Liverpool city centre.
“We continue to identify more and more people who attended the disorder in Merseyside and we will not stop until we’ve put everyone we possibly can before the courts.”
