Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary in Maghull where a 1968 Gibson Les Paul guitar was stolen.
Between 3.45pm and 5.30pm on Sunday 22 December it was reported that a summer house at the bottom of a garden on Molyneux Road had been broken into and three guitars had been stolen.
The stolen guitars were a 1968 Gibson Les Paul guitar, Squire FSR classic vibe 50's Stratocaster and a Squire precision bass.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward along with CCTV and dashcam footage which may have captured the suspects who were on bikes.
Detective Inspector Sara Lang said: “I would urge anyone who was on Molyneux Road between 3.45pm and 5.30pm on Sunday and saw someone acting suspiciously to please contact us.
“I also appeal to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen guitars or may have seen them or advertising them for sale to please contact us. The 1968 Gibson Les Paul guitar is of particular importance and the owner would like it returned back to them.
“I would also ask people to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they may have captured something which may be vital to the investigation.
“We also encourage people to come forward if you know anything about the incident or someone selling the stolen goods which will help with our investigation.”
