We are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Anfield earlier this month.
At around 2.40am on Sunday 1 December, we received a report that a man had broken into a home on Coniston Road.
During the incident, the occupier of the home, a man aged in his 60s, was threatened by the suspect and an iPhone 8 was stolen.
The victim was unharmed but left shaken by the incident.
An investigation is ongoing to find the suspect, who is described as a slim male who had two black eyes. He was wearing a grey top, grey bottoms and a yellow balaclava.
Detective Inspector Natalie Charlesworth said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into this incident and we are determined to find the person responsible.
“To break into this man’s home in the middle of the night and threaten him must have been terrifying and I’m sure the community will be shocked.
“Thankfully, incidents such as this are extremely rare, but we are committed to finding the person responsible and bringing him to justice.
“If you have any information about this incident, or live in the area and have CCTV cameras, please check them to see if you captured anything significant around the time of this incident on Sunday 1 December.
“Similarly, if you were driving in the area at around the time of the incident, please review your dashcam footage.”
