We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Liverpool.
We were contacted at 10.30am yesterday, Wednesday 18 December, following reports a female pedestrian had been in a collision with a Renault Austral on South Parade in Speke.
The woman, who is in her 30s, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital. She has since been released.
A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving and drug driving. She has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of South Parade in Speke yesterday, Wednesday 18 December, who witnessed the collision or has any information which could assist the investigation to contact us.
“We are also asking anyone if they have dashcam footage to come forward.”
