CCTV appeal following serious assault in Walton

We have released a CCTV image of a man who could have information following a serious assault in Walton last night, Friday 20 December.

At around 11.20pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 20s was assaulted by a male outside The Black Horse pub on County Road.

The victim went home, but was later taken to hospital by paramedics where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for the man pictured to come forward.

Detective Inspector Dave Jones said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into this incident and we are now releasing an image of a man who we think could have information about what happened.

“If you recognise yourself in this image, or you know who this is, please let us know as soon as possible.

“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing as we try to establish the circumstances of what happened.

“If you were in the area last night and saw what happened or have any information, let us know as a matter of urgency.

“If you live in the area or were driving past at the time, I’d ask you to review your CCTV or dashcam footage to see if you captured anything that could help our investigation.”
