We have arrested five men in connection with two house fires on York Street, Garston on Friday 27 December.
A 24-year-old man from Runcorn, two men from Garston aged 22 and 20 years, a 19-year-old man from Grassendale, and a 18-year-old man from Kensington were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
They have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
