Detectives have charged a man in connection with a serious assault in Walton on Saturday, 21 December.
At around 11.20pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 20s was assaulted by a male outside The Black Horse pub on County Road. The victim went home, but was later taken to hospital by paramedics where he remains in a critical condition.
Dylan Dellot, 36, from Kirkby, has now been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent.
Dellot was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court yesterday morning, Monday 23 December. He was conditionally bailed to appear on Monday 20 January at Liverpool Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Steve Street said: “Although a man has been charged, this investigation remains ongoing and the victim is still in hospital.
“As such, if you witnessed thus incident or hold any information, please come forward at the earliest opportunity.”
