A man appeared in court on Christmas Eve after being arrested at the airport the previous day and charged with conspiring to supply heroin, cocaine, amphetamine oil and 2CP.
Kane Molyneux, 32 years, of Westmorland Drive, Liverpool city centre was detained at Manchester Airport on Monday 23 December in connection with information found as part of Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of Encrochat encrypted mobile devices.
To date in Merseyside, we have seen 236 arrested and 172 sentenced as a result of information from the encrypted devices.
He was later charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs (heroin, cocaine, 2CP, amphetamine oil and remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on Tuesday 24 December.
Molyneux was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday 21 January 2025.
