We can confirm officers responded to an incident in Kirkdale today, Friday 6 December.
At around 4am we received a report of a concern for safety of a man inside a house on Miranda Road South.
A 58-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and affray. He is in police custody to be questioned.
No injuries have been reported.
A road closure was in place while the incident was being dealt with and has now been lifted.
