A 32-year-old man from Speke was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class C drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
A 37-year-old man from Huyton was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and C drugs with intent to supply, possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon inside a dwelling.
The men were taken to a police station on Merseyside where they remain for questioning.
Inspector Jennifer Murray said: “Our EVOLVE officers work tirelessly to disrupt and deter criminals in these neighbourhoods and I am delighted that they have been able to take a significant amount of suspected Class C and A drugs off our streets, as well as some dangerous weapons.
“Drugs and violence go hand-in-hand and we are determined to rid our communities of the blight of drug-related activity and seek help for those in need.
“We urge anyone with information about this incident or drug-related activity to contact us, or Crimestoppers, which is an anonymous charity so only you will ever know you made that report, so we can take action to continue to make our communities safer for generations to come.”
