Two men from Wirral have been charged after a large quantity of suspected heroin and cash were seized in New Ferry.
On Wednesday 11 December, officers on patrol in the area spotted a suspected drugs deal, which led to them arresting two men and searching a nearby home.
Officers seized around 250 of individual wraps of suspected heroin and a large quantity of cash.
Mark Phillips, 51, of Bebington Road, in New Ferry, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug (heroin).
Liam Carson, 24, of Howbeck Close, in Oxton, has been charged with possession of criminal property.
They both appeared at Wirral Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 12 December and will next appear in court on Thursday 9 January.
The investigation involves Project Medusa as part of ongoing efforts to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation.
