We have arrested two people on suspicion of Class A drugs offences after suspected heroin was discovered hidden in a toaster.
Matrix officers entered a property in the Huyton area yesterday, Wednesday 4 December, and seized a parcel. Upon opening it they found a toaster with a large package inside containing suspected heroin.
Following a search of the property bags of white power, believed to be cocaine, were located along with scales, cannabis, and drugs paraphernalia.
A 57-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class A (heroin).
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class A (heroin), possession of a Class A drug (cocaine) and possession of a controlled drug Class B (cannabis).
Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Carl Lynch from the County Lines investigation team, said: “Merseyside Police remains committed to removing drugs from the streets of Merseyside and we will act on any intelligence on who is selling or distributing drugs.”
