Detectives have charged four more people with Violent Disorder in Liverpool during the summer.
Adam Hemnell, 31, of High Street, Bangor has been charged with Violent Disorder after allegedly throwing a brick at officers in Liverpool.
Barham Amir Ahmed, 20, of no fixed abode has been charged with Violent Disorder and Burglary other than dwelling after allegedly throwing rocks at police in Liverpool city centre and entering Clayton Square shopping centre to allegedly steal items. He will next appear in court in February.
Corneliu Magureanu, 20, of St Annes Close, Birkenhead has been charged with Violent Disorder after allegedly throwing a rock at officers.
A 12-year-old boy from Rock Ferry has been charged on 20 December after allegedly committing Violent Disorder in Liverpool city centre and will next appear before Liverpool Youth Court in January. The boy is alleged to have thrown missiles at officers and spat at the public.
Detective Inspector Paula Jones said: “We continue to identify and put before the courts anyone suspected of bringing shame to the region over the summer. We will continue to review footage and information to do this.”
The total number of people arrested by Merseyside Police has now reached 163, with 117 charged and 88 sentenced.
