We have arrested four people on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Officers investigating County Lines drug dealing and acting on intelligence identified a vehicle travelling back from Glastonbury yesterday, Monday 1 July.
The vehicle was sighted on the M56 crossing over the Mersey Gateway bridge. It was stopped by patrols using pre-emptive tactics at around 9.50pm on Higher Road in Halewood.
Four people in the vehicle were detained. A quantity of Class A and B drugs and several mobile phones were recovered.
A 30-year-old man from Speke was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine), possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and drug driving.
A 27-year-old woman from Speke was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (cocaine) and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (MDMA).
A 40-year-old woman from Halewood was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply cocaine, MDMA and cannabis.
A 38-year-old man from Halewood was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply cocaine, MDMA and cannabis.
All four are currently in custody and enquiries are continuing.
