We have arrested two people on suspicion of drug offences and charged a man after a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs were seized in Toxteth yesterday morning (Thursday 18 July).
At around 2.10am officers stopped a car on Croxteth Road with two people inside.
The officers then searched the two people inside the car as they believed they were acting suspiciously and found a large quantity of suspected Class A Drugs in a polythene bag.
A 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from Liverpool were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to sell class A drugs.
They were taken to a police station in Merseyside. Sean Savage, aged 34, of Mill Road, Liverpool has been charged with possession with intent to sell Class A drugs and remanded into custody. The 30-year-old woman has been bailed whilst further enquiries continue.
