A man has today, Wednesday 31 July, been jailed for breaking into a social club in Wirral.
Callum Boscoe, 26 years, of no fixed address but previously from Widnes, appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court today and he pleaded guilty to burglary.
The court heard that at around 12.20am on Tuesday 30 July the alarm went off at Tixall Bowling and Social club in Oxton.
Officers attended and detained a man who went on the roof and tried to escape.
Boscoe was charged with burglary offence.
He was jailed for 26 weeks in prison and he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
Detective Inspector Sarah Wilkinson said: “The break in of this community asset has a significant impact to the club and people in the community so I’m pleased Boscoe is behind bars and paying for his crime.
“Business thefts are not victimless crimes, and especially a bowling club that provides an important service for the community.”
