Detectives investigating the murder of Rikki Berry in Kirkby on Wednesday 17 July have issued photographs of a ‘vehicle of interest’.
The vehicle, a black Seat Ateca Cupra, was seized in Prescot on Friday 19 July and has been forensically recovered.
We are today asking people – have you ever seen this vehicle? Did you see this vehicle on Wednesday 17 July or have you got CCTV, dash cam or a doorbell camera which may have captured this vehicle?
Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings said: “Our enquiries are moving at a fast pace and we have made a number of arrests in connection with Rikki’s murder.
“As part of our enquiries we seized a black Seat Ateca Cupra on Friday and we now need the public’s help in tracing the movements of the car prior to the murder and afterwards.
“I would ask anyone living in or around the Prescot area to check their dash cams, CCTV or doorbell cameras to see if they captured the car.
“Any little piece of information could be vital so please send any information, images and footage to us directly via: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).
“You can also message us via @MerPolCC on social media, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 24000624806.”
