We have arrested a man and seized around £500,000 in cash and suspected cocaine following a stop check in Dingle yesterday, Thursday 20 June.
At around 8pm, officers sighted a man driving in Mill Street, who was advised to stop due to reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. The man was searched and around £700 and suspected cocaine were seized. He was detained and given a roadside drug test.
A further search of an address in Merebank, Sefton Park resulted in approximately £500,000 in cash (pictured) and around a kilo of suspected cocaine being seized.
A 28-year-old man from Sefton Park was arrested on suspicion of Possession with intent to supply cocaine; Possession of criminal property; and Drug driving.
He has been taken to a police station for questioning.
