A man has been arrested following a robbery where a delivery van was stolen in Toxteth yesterday, Sunday 16 June.
Just after 3pm, it was reported that a delivery driver was making deliveries on Windsor Street when a man approached him, then threatened and pushed him before stealing his van.
The driver was uninjured from the robbery.
Patrols made to the area and the Ford Transit van was located a short distance away.
The offender was tracked by a dog patrol, and a 46-year-old man from Garston was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He is in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher said: “Although an arrest has been made, our enquiries continue, and we would urge anyone who witnessed the robbery, or captured it on dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to please contact us as it may be vital to the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, DM @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 24000533178.
