We have charged a 24 year-old man with Class A and B drug offences.
Joseph Harper, of Akenside Street, Bootle, was arrested on Friday 21 June.
He has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and possession of a controlled drug Class B (cannabis).
He has also been charged with possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and possession of criminal property.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral magistrates court today, Monday 24 June.
Officers in Sefton have been responding to community concerns about drug supply in public spaces.
Targeted policing Sergeant Kenneth Sumner said: "We know that people living in the Sefton area – and across Merseyside – are sick of those who choose to peddle drugs in our communities.
"We continue to take positive action to disrupt the supply and sale of drugs and use a number of different methods at our disposal including carrying out warrants, and stop searches.
"One of the key things we rely on is information from our local communities. If people know who is supplying, selling or storing drugs that we would urge them to come forward. We will take action when we are given information about criminality so those responsible are put behind bars.
"Information from those communities most affected can be absolutely vital, so help us to keep removing the harm from your streets."
"If you suspect drugs are being stored or supplied where you are, contact us via @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 and we will do the rest."
