A teenage boy has been charged with possession of a knife, criminal damage and drug offences after a car was damaged with a machete on Lodge Lane in Liverpool.
On Friday 7 June at around 6.25pm a group of males hit a vehicle with a machete whilst a woman and a child were inside.
The group ran off when officers who saw the incident stopped and chased after them. The officers later arrested a boy nearby who threw the machete on the floor and was also carrying a bag of suspected class B drugs.
The 14-year-old boy from Liverpool was arrested and charged on Saturday 8 June with possession of Class B drugs, possession of a knife/blade and criminal damage.
He has been bailed and will appear at Merseyside Youth Bail Court on Tuesday 2 July.
