Two arrested on suspicion of Class A drug offences in Liverpool

We have arrested two men on suspicion of Class A drug offences in Liverpool last night, Wednesday 5 June.
 
At around 10.15pm officers from Operation Toxic carried out a warrant at an address in Everton and arrested a 43-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of supplying Class A Drugs. A 20-year-old man from Liverpool who was found in his vehicle nearby was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. 
 
Both were taken to a police station in Merseyside where they remain in custody.
 
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “This warrant was conducted as part of Operation Toxic a Merseyside-led initiative set up to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation across the country.
 
“Thanks to a thorough investigation by our officers we have arrested two men suspected of drug supply and will relentlessly pursue anyone involved in drug dealing across Merseyside.
 
“Our work to bring any offenders to justice continues on a daily basis and I would ask anyone who has information about this kind of activity to come forward so we can take action by conducting warrants, arrests, stop searches and land searches all year round.”
