We are appealing for people to come forward following a serious road traffic collision in Birkenhead last month.
At around 7pm on Saturday 17th February a white Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a pedal cyclist on Park Road West near to the junction with Egerton Road, Palm Grove and Park Road South.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered a life changing leg injury. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
We believe a number of people also stopped at the scene to assist in administering first aid to the cyclist. It is believed they left before police officers arrived and we are appealing for them to get in touch.
Constable Mark Dean, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We would ask anyone who was involved in assisting the cyclist to come forward and speak to us if they haven’t already done so.
“These people may have vital information that will help our investigation.
"I would urge these people to contact Merseyside Police either by calling 0151 777 5747, or emailing [email protected] quoting reference 24000182797."
