We are appealing for information following an assault in Halewood on Thursday 29 February.
At around 6.50pm, police were called to Halewood Leisure Centre, on Baileys Lane, to a report that a man in his 40s had been stabbed following an altercation.
The victim received a laceration to his arm which required hospital treatment.
A 41-year-old man from Halewood was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding. He has been conditionally bailed.
An investigation is ongoing and we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Ellie Tee said: “There were lots of people in the area at the time of the incident who may have witnessed something that could help our enquiries.
“If you have any information about this incident or witnessed what happened, please let us know as soon as possible as it could help our investigation.”
